Mr. Rufus Bousquet left the island last Sunday on official business to the country of Belize ,where he is expected to meet with high ranking officials of the Belize and Caricom governments.
The Intersessional Meeting of Caricom Heads, will be dicussing global economic downturn, and its effects on economies, and the decline in tourism.
He will also attend a summit of the Americas in Trinidad on Regional air travel, climate change, deforestation , and food and water security issues.
This is Mr. Bousquet's second overseas trip since he was appointed External Affairs Minister and on this trip he is representing the Prime Minister who. is unable to attend. The Summit ends on Friday.
Bousquet is due on island on Saturday March 14, 2009.
